Penn Foster recently welcomed Beckfield College into our family of career college partners, offering our high school completion program to local students in the Florence, KY and Tri-County Cincinnati areas.
Beckfield College was founded in 1984 by Dr. Harry L Beck with a mission to fulfill a need in the community for individuals who wanted personalized career training outside of the traditional setting. Today, Beckfield has over 1300 students and offers 15 different programs within Allied Health, Business & Technology, Criminal Justice, Nursing, and Paralegal Studies.
In line with its goal of furthering expansion into their local communities and continuing their focus on evolving to meet both the student’s and community’s educational needs, Beckfield partnered with Penn Foster in July of this year. With Penn Foster’s High School Completion Program, Beckfield is able to offer students who do not have a high school diploma the opportunity to earn one through their college, while at the same time providing these students an on-ramp to pursue higher education with Beckfield -- and ultimately enter the job market, pursue a new career, or further their current one. A win for student, for the community, and for Beckfield, who is already seeing success with the program.
Last week, Beckfield celebrated its first group of graduating students in the high school completion program, with several already enrolled with Beckfield to pursue their college degree in the Allied Health field.
Congratulations to Beckfield’s first graduates and we look forward to seeing many more!
